New York City (November 26, 2008): The first COOLWALL Symposium, scheduled for Feb. 6, 2009 in conjunction with the World of Concrete in Las Vegas, will feature Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. as keynote speaker. Kennedy will speak about sustainability and the environment. The COOLWALL Symposium is designed for home remodeling and improvement professionals like MyHome, NYC’s leading dealer of COOLWALL products. The Las Vegas symposium focuses on the challenges associated with energy efficient structures as well as simple solutions remodeling professionals and architects can use today. “We’re very excited about the symposium because it will offer new insights into how to use new technology in creating greener buildings,” says MyHome President Mayan Metzler. “And Kennedy—is the perfect keynote speaker because he’ll be able to speak about both practical applications for today’s market as well as exciting new future developments.”Kennedy will specifically discuss sustainability and how a green exterior high build coating like COOLWALL can help professionals create energy efficient commercial and residential building. Also presenting will be André O. Desjarlais, Research Group Leader for the U.S. Dept. of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Desjarlais will discuss a study conducted by the US Dept of Energy that showed COOLWALL® coatings can reduce cooling costs by 4.2 – 21.9%.
“While many public works and commercial building designers are interested in COOLWALL, we’re actually seeing a lot more residential property owners choosing to apply the exterior coating to their homes as well,” adds Metzler. “The energy savings is significant—and particularly welcome in these hard economic times.” |
