BATHROOM
FAUCETS |
Your faucet, aside from serving as an architectural piece, needs
to coordinate seamlessly with your bathroom sink or bathtub as
well as the bathroom’s overall design. (A sleek Kohler faucet
won’t necessarily look good with a Victorian bathroom and
a clawfoot tub.) You’ll need to choose two sets of faucets:
one for the sink and one for the bathtub and shower. Wall-mounted
fixtures, deck mounted faucets, single-handle and double-handle
faucets are all appropriate for different types of sinks or tubs.
Spend some time considering how the faucet will look when paired
with your sink and with your bathroom’s overall look.
Wall-mounted Faucets
A wall-mounted faucet installs on the wall and appears to floats
above the sink. It’s perfect for wall-mounted sinks and can
free up valuable sink space for cramped urban bathrooms.
Deck-mounted Faucets
Deck-mounted faucets are the traditional faucets most of us are
accustomed to: they install on the sink deck itself and arc above
the bowl.
Single-Control Faucets
Single-control faucets are easy to manipulate and boast a sleek
minimalist design.
Double-Control Faucets
Double-control faucets offer much greater control over the ration
of hot to cold water, essential for a bathroom sink.
