Geothermal Heating & Cooling or ground source heat pumps (GSHPs)
use the earth’s consistent temperature to provide heating,
cooling, and hot water for your home or buildings. Using the same
basic principles as the solarthermal concept, geothermal or earth
heat allows us to tap natural resources for CleanTech solutions.
Installed horizontally, vertically, or in a body of water near
your heater source, GSHP systems utilize antifreeze solution in
a closed loop format that is then pushed through plastic pipes
beneath the earth. As the fluid garners heat from the earth it
circulates it through the piping and then into your home or building
to provide hot water year round. In the summertime, the system
reverses, pulls heat from your home or building and places it in
the ground for the future. This process facilitates free hot water
in the summer months and a considerable savings on hot water during
the winter season.
Upon arriving on site our Green Consultants will determine the
most economical choice (system type) for installation of the ground
loop. We will then begin building the system that is right for
your home.
