Upbeat Upgrade – Designed
by Mayan Metzler
Playfully colored glass tiles and sleek beech cabinets come together
to transform this New York City kitchen from tiny and drab to open and
inviting.
“The kitchen was open toward the living room with only a small
pass-through window,” says Mayan Metzler with MyHome – a
full service design/build remodeling company with three locations in
New York
City. “The
client decided to really open up the kitchen into the adjacent space
and expand it with more countertop and cabinetry,” adds Metzler.
The result is a drastically different polished and modern look, and a
more livable space.
Certified remodeling consultants helped design the
project as well as select the materials, products and appliances. Metzler’s
team of skilled tradesmen performed all the demolition and construction.
They imported beech cabinets from Denmark, paired them with solid surface
countertops and added colorful glass tiles on the backsplash. “They
came together to create this amazing kitchen that the homeowner is very
proud of,” Metzler says. |
