You can never go wrong when you open the kitchen into the
adjacent space. Even if it's a small kitchen and you can't
remove too much of the wall it'll make a gigantic difference.
This kitchen was closed in, but a small pass through window
was presented before we started (See middle photo on the bottom
row - before shots). We removed the entire corner, creating
a peninsula island, which can be used for dining and entertaining.
The refrigerator was moved all the way to the left (instead
of the right, where it was located before) creating countertop
room on both sides of the range and some room to work to the
right of the fridge. The bright red wall paint works phenomenally
with the traditional painted white cabinets. Stainless steel
appliances and a continuous granite surface on both the countertops
and backsplash create a hip clean look.
