This complete renovation project, located in a pre-war building on the
Upper West Side, was part renovation and part restoration. Our clients
wanted to add modern conveniences to a home full of pre-war charm,
but still maintain the characteristic decorative accents. Walls
and ceilings were skim coated and then painted in Benjamin Moore
colors that bring the apartment to life. Colorful mosaic tiles brighten
the powder room, and the ultimate in modern spa luxury, a steam
shower, turns the bathroom into a haven. In the kitchen, a butcher
block island allows cooking to take center stage. To complete the
look, stand-out detailing was highlighted in every room. Elaborate
moldings, mantels and trim are continued throughout the apartment
and are the perfect finishing touch for this complete renovation
project.
