Kitchen & Bathroom Renovation at 66 Overlook Terrace

The Renovation Plan

The renovation at 66 Overlook Terrace combined a complete bathroom rebuild with a focused update to the existing kitchen. In the bathroom, the scope called for removing the existing tub, pedestal sink, toilet, floor and wall tile, fixtures, lighting, accessories, and plumbing branches before rebuilding the space with new waterproofing, tile, plumbing fixtures, lighting, and storage.

The kitchen took a more selective approach. Rather than replacing the cabinetry and appliances, the existing wood counters, sink, faucet, and backsplash were removed to make way for new countertop and full-height backsplash surfaces. The sink remained in its established location, and the appliances were reinstalled.

Final Project Reveal

The completed apartment shows how two different renovation approaches can work within the same project. The bathroom received a comprehensive transformation, while the kitchen concentrated on surfaces and fixtures rather than replacing elements that could remain.

In the finished kitchen, honey-stained cabinetry is paired with quartz surfaces and stainless-steel appliances. The project photography shows a coordinated quartz countertop and backsplash surrounding the undermount stainless-steel sink and chrome pull-down faucet.

In the bathroom, textured wall tile surrounds the room, complemented by chrome fixtures, a black quartz sink surface, bathtub, mirrored storage, and additional wall-mounted storage.

Rather than applying the same level of intervention throughout the apartment, the project addressed each room according to what it required. The kitchen retained its honey-toned cabinetry while receiving new work surfaces, whereas the bathroom was rebuilt from the floor and wall finishes through the plumbing fixtures, lighting, storage, and tub area.
